The Centre manager, Janice is a qualified primary Head Teacher and very aware of the development needs of her pupils. She has been teaching since 1985 and always wants to ensure that children are achieving their best but also ensure their confidence and happiness with their learning. This can only be done if the programme of work is specific to their needs, so she will carry out regular assessments to ensure that the children are catered for individually

First Class Learning (FCL) is a strong, flexible and dynamic learning system that focuses on the key maths and English learning outcomes for the National Curriculum for England and Wales and the Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland. More than just private tuition, our maths and English tuition programmes help to form good study habits, increase confidence and develop self esteem.
Maths Tuition
The First Class Learning Maths programme is designed to equip your child with the fundamental skills required for success in school Mathematics. Using a range of resources, your local FCL maths tutor covers all the essential areas of the school curriculum.
English Tuition
The First Class Learning English Programme draws on a variety of imaginative materials. From synthetic phonics to skills for secondary pupils, it follows principles which make it ideal for all learners. The programme takes a multisensory approach, enabling all children - whatever their learning style or ability - to develop the key skills which will allow them to read fluently, spell accurately and write confidently.
Enrol Your Child
Enrolling your child could not be easier. Once you have made an appointment with your local FCL Centre you can enrol for maths tuition, English tuition or both. For an informal chat with your nearest FCL centre manager simply enter your postcode in the "Find your nearest centre" box and find your local centre.
